What do you think has been the best way to promote the program for your type of business?
We have always used the signage that has been provided to us from AMP – we also add the text program to our social media pages and website. We have been making it a BIGGER point to speak to EVERY customer while they are in store – if we can get them to join while they are in our store we will ENSURE they are getting our weekly ads we send out via text!
What was the biggest reason you signed up for the text program?
We wanted a quicker and more INSTANT way to reach our customers when we have an-store special, new weekly ad(s), or special store hours. We know that communication with our customers is very important and not everyone has Facebook. Text Marketing gives us an easy and reasonably prices option to stay top of mind with all of our customers week over week!
Have you found the program easy to use?
The online system is SUPER easy to use, I love that I can preschedule texts for later in the day, next week or next month! Since a few people in our business have access to the online system – I like that I can see what texts have been scheduled .. that way we are not doubling up on the same messages. The online system gives my staff the freedom to schedule texts when it will benefit our business the most. We also like that we have an account manager, anytime we have a question she is a call or email away.
What has the text program done for your business?
We just had customers in-store last week that drive about 25 miles to get to us and they mentioned that they no longer receive our weekly ads. We were able to have them sign-up for our text messages and they will never have to miss one of our ads again.
Especially since our reach with our weekly store ads continues to get smaller and smaller – this will continue to be a FUNDAMENTAL way to connect and communicate with our customers and be able to provide them our weekly ads via text! The text program will continue to be a BIG part of our communication and outreach to our customers for years to come.

What’s your favorite message you have sent out?
I really like to send out Trivia Questions & Riddles via text to my customers – they all love it and find it so much fun! It gets customers thinking and also gets them to come in for food and drinks! Everyone loves trivia and our staff loves hearing customers guesses!

What do you think has been the best way to promote the program for your type of business?
We have found the best way to build our list is to talk to every customer. We offer an incentive to get customers to join, by offering a small incentive it gives them a reason to join the program today. If we can get customers to join the text club on their first visit then we can send them texts to get them to come in over and over again … making a first time customer a repeat customer.
What has the Text Program done for your business?
The text program is honestly the best way to keep top of mind with our customers and really helps us communicate information immediately. We have been having some issues with our credit card machines so being able to communicate with customers letting them know ahead of time has been so helpful. During COVID the text program really helped us let customers know any rules, regulations, etc that we were following. Most importantly it was a great way to remind customers that we were OPEN for business. I couldn’t imagine not having the text program for our restaurant.
Have you found the program easy to use?
The program is super user friendly! I like that I can send texts on my own from my computer or cell phone. I personally prefer to have my account manager send out my texts for me as they always look and sound better.
